Eastern Inns

Been coming here for years with the family. Alway a good time

We recently stayed four nights at the Eastern Inn. It was our second visit at this property. It is a great "value" hotel if you are planning a short visit to North Conway. It is conveniently located just north of the village. It is within walking distance to the village. This is an older hotel, but it is clean and well maintained. It features a small, cozy check-in lobby with a gas fireplace, couch, and chairs. Coffee and other hot beverages are provided complimentary in the lobby 24/7. There is also very nice heated pool. However the hot tub was out of service. It seemed as it had been for quite sometime. It should not be listed as an amenity for this hotel. We rented one of the suite rooms. It featured a separate living space with a couch, chair, and a small table. There was a small refrigerator, a very small microwave, and a sink. There were no kitchen amenities. The bathroom was very small with a separate sink area. The two queen beds were in dire need of new mattresses. The check in staff were always very friendly and helpful. We asked for extra towels and they were readily provided. The Eastern in in located across the street from two excellent restaraunts. (Delaney's and Mary Kelly's). We would stay there again.

Use caution. I got a GREAT deal on the price of the hotel and now I know why. We started our stay with a lukewarm welcome at the front desk followed by my daughter IMMEDIATELY being snapped at - “Hey! That’s not free! You have to pay for that!” - for picking a snack - which I had given her permission to do. The staff person quickly humbled herself when I snapped right back. We then walked into a room that was just filthy. The nightstand drawer was full of someone else’s trash, the floor had stains and was covered in long strand of hair. Clearly not washed or vacuumed anytime recently. I think my favorite part was the booger wiped on the bathroom wall. Photographic evidence attached. Because I didn’t want to interact with the unpleasant character at the front desk, we stuck it out. Buyer beware. I will say that the beds were comfortable…but I certainly did check to see if there were any questionable stains.
