***False Advertising Warning for Anyone Considering Booking Here*** We were traveling with our daughter, who is on the autism spectrum, so I always spend extra time researching hotels before booking. After reading the reviews and trusting the high ratings, I booked this property for our vacation. Unfortunately, when we checked in, we were told that our reservation was actually at a completely different property called the Common Man Lodge. It had no elevator, no breakfast buffet, no indoor pool, and an entirely different interior from the photos and amenities advertised when I made the reservation. After dropping off our luggage, I spoke with the staff because this was not what we had booked. At first, I was told that the Inn was completely sold out. Then, suddenly, they offered either a room at the Inn because of an “emergency cancellation” or a 20% discount if we stayed at the Lodge. Since my daughter has autism and does not handle unexpected changes well, moving everything again would have been extremely difficult, so we accepted the 20% discount. The staff blamed the issue on the fact that I booked through a third-party website such as Hotels.com or Expedia. However, that should not become the customer’s problem. If this is a recurring issue with third-party bookings, the hotel should correct its listings and ensure guests know exactly which property they are reserving instead of repeatedly allowing customers to be misled. This experience felt deceptive and was not an ethical way to conduct business. We will not be returning, and I hope this review helps future travelers avoid the same disappointment—especially families who carefully choose accommodations based on specific amenities and accessibility needs.

If you are coming to the Lakes Region of New Hampshire with (or without) your dog, you will find no better accommodation than the Common Man Inn in Plymouth. The room was incredible! No dog smell - no chemical cover-up-dog-smell. Just fresh. Door to a small balcony, and easy access to the exit door in the hallway which leads to the path to walk your dog. Two beds, fireplace, fridge, large bathroom, the softest towels in any hotel ever, ample space, dog towel, bowls, blanket, and a special treat! They also offer room service for meals from Foster's Boiler Room (the on-site restaurant). The staff was remarkable from Jennifer on the initial phone call to dear friend Tom in the cafe who made us the best breakfast we have had in years. YEARS! Parking was a breeze. Luggage carts are available. We have stayed at 5-star hotels and Marriotts and Hiltons in the state and this truly was miles above the rest. DO NOT HESITATE. It may look rustic on the outside but there is NOTHING in your room that will have you thinking you have entered anything other than pampering bliss. We all have our preferences: my only tweaking would be to a firmer bed (it struck me as super soft), and the goat-milk soap (to me) had a slight smell that I didn't adore (I have a hypersensitive sniffer). Partner had no problem with the soap. To recap: Great staff, great room, great food, great getaway. Restoration achieved: expectations surpassed! Many thanks!

The spa is permanently closed! The website didn’t tell us that when we booked . They should make sure people are aware there is no longer a spa here s that is half the reason we stay here! This changes a lot for us coming back .
