Atlantic Palace Suites

The Atlantic Palace on the boardwalk has really let itself go downhill. Although the view is beautiful if u get ocean view, everything else has gone downhill. The jacuzzi in the rooms is still a great plus. However, the outdoor pool use to have a jacuzzi as well but it's no longer there. That's a big bummer. Also they should really make sure everything in the room us working before hand because my room had a TV that didn't work and a safe that they couldn't even get opened. That was a big inconvenience. Plus really only 2 sets of towels for 2 people for 5 nights is not good enough. Plus they take forever to deliver essentials to your room when you do call them. You may as well bring your own towels and essentials. Torn rugs is really inappropriate. Just put wood floors without rugs. It's just sad how they have let themselves go and yet charge so much. Plus if you booked through RCI they should give better rooms. Very disappointing stay compared to the last few years.

My family and I booked a room for seven days. We arrived on June 27 and checked out on July 4. We reserved a room with two beds, but when we arrived, there was only one actual bed. The “second bed” turned out to be a pull-out couch, which was never clearly disclosed before booking. The hotel also advertised a pool and a hot tub on the third floor. However, when we asked about the hot tub, we were informed that it had been closed for over a year. This information was never communicated before we made our reservation. During our stay, one of the elevators was taken out of service and did not reopen until the following day. Then, on Thursday and Friday (July 3 and July 4), the hotel became extremely crowded. The elevator wait times became excessive, often forcing my family and me to use the stairwell, which was narrow and became very congested because so many other guests were doing the same. On July 4, when we were checking out, we waited with our luggage for an elevator. It took 16 minutes before an elevator even reached our floor, and when it finally arrived, it was completely full. We then had to wait an additional seven minutes before another elevator arrived with enough space for my family and our luggage. Throughout our stay, whenever we requested basic housekeeping supplies such as clean towels, toilet paper, or extra trash bags, it often took over an hour for them to be delivered. On some occasions, staff explained that there was only one housekeeping employee working, which contributed to the delays. In addition, the air conditioning in the hallways was either not working or not turned on, making the common areas uncomfortably warm. I also had an unpleasant interaction with a security guard. One convenient aspect of the hotel is its location, as it offers direct access to the boardwalk. Overall, our stay was disappointing due to the lack of communication about the room accommodations and unavailable amenities, the long waits for basic services, and the excessive elevator delays during an already crowded holiday weekend.

Run far and fast from this dump. Only one elevator works and you can go down from your floor without going to the top floors first. So wait times for an elevator average 5 to 8 minutes. This causes lines down the hall and during peak times can take 20 minutes if you are not the first 5 with luggage in line. Won't allow you to unload your own car and use a cart they have the carts. So expect delays there too.. Rooms are outdated, broken appliances curtains, and wobbly falling apart chair and table. One security guard watching you tube videos won't acknowledge you until his videos are done. Yes you need security to issue the parking pass. Other security guard tries to be pleasant while being fussed at for the slow elevators and crappy place. He has no control feel sorry for him. Staff knows place is crap, found floating vomit in pool we went to check out. Told someone at the pool desk and they were annoyed you bothered them. Drive 5 hours with the family to get here and had place for 8 days but only could stomach 1 because daughter and grandson wanted to go to the beach. Heavy homeless population holding doors but then asking for handouts. I will be happy when I pack the vehicle back up today and put this place in my rear view mirror. Do yourself a favor and find another place. Nags Head, Myrtle Beach anywhere but here
