Gild Hall a Thompson Hotel

GILD HALL is an amazing hotel in downtown New York City. The rooms are well-appointed and gorgeous, the staff is friendly and helpful, the attached restaurant, Felice, has an elegant breakfast - we never had a chance to eat lunch or dinner there, but I bet it's wonderful. There's a bar in the lobby. The lobby is elegant and whimsical at the same time, because it's full of plush seating and also big wooden board games (chess, checkers, etc.) set out on the tables. Hardcover books line the stairwell to the second floor seating area. Our room was large, with a high ceiling, clean and well-appointed, and had a small fridge. The Thompson Suite is also gorgeous--it has its own living room, a little kitchen, and TWO bathrooms -- one of them has a tub. Honestly, this hotel is such a hidden gem, tucked away on narrow Gold Street, with an easy walk to the Calatrava train station and the 9/11 memorial and South Street Seaport and Wall Street and subways that'll get you anywhere in NYC. We reserved a block of rooms for a wedding party and some wedding guests, the couple stayed in the Thompson Suite, and we all loved it. I can't praise the place or the people enough.

Loved the location in Manhattan for the family. Easy to take the train, walk to the pier, wall street, etc. Nice and clean, good breakfast.

I had an amazing stay at Gild Hall, A Thompson Hotel by Hyatt in Lower Manhattan. The hotel is beautiful, stylish, and in an excellent location near the South Street Seaport. The front desk staff was friendly, welcoming, and provided outstanding customer service throughout my stay. They made me feel valued from the moment I arrived. The location is perfect. The subway station is only about two blocks away, making it easy to get around New York City. Wall Street is just a short three-block walk, and many restaurants, shops, and attractions are within walking distance. I also enjoyed the hotel’s restaurant and happy hour, which was a great way to unwind after exploring the city. As a Hyatt property, Gild Hall exceeded my expectations with its comfort, service, and convenience. I truly had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lower Manhattan. Five stars!
