Hampton Inn Manhattan-35th St/Empire State Bldg

Hotel was in the perfect location - so close to Times Square, theater district, Bryant Park, restaurants, and SO much more! Tons of food options! There was a subway stop maybe 50 feet away from the hotel front door and we were 1/4 mile from the Amtrak station at Penn Station. Area was active but felt safe (as you can be in a big city). We had two rooms (a king size and one with two double beds) for a family of 5 people - 2 adults and 3 teenagers. Rooms were modern and incredibly clean, water was hot with great pressure in the shower. Beds and pillows were comfy! Street facing rooms had a great view of Empire State Building. (See photo) Hotel staff were all so nice and accommodating. Cookies were out every day at 3pm. They held our baggage when we arrived early and the day we checked out. We were on the 11th floor - there was a lot of noise on the street (construction) but we did not hear any of it. The only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 is because the breakfast was pretty basic. This was a standard Hilton fare - packaged muffins/bread/bagels, powdered eggs, sausage, cereals/milk, yogurt, oatmeal, and a waffle maker. Coffee/water/juice. Not gourmet, but enough to get us going in the morning. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location to Times Square and Empire State Building. The Staff was excellent and very helpful in getting Taxis. Rooms are a little smaller, but given the location was a great value. Also, plenty of restaurants close by.

This is a long review but worth reading if you plan to stay here! First day we get there early after traveling all morning so we leave our bags and go explore. We got back to the room around 1 am, we were exhausted! first thing we noticed is a contact lens on the dresser pretty gross but no biggie. My sons went straight to bed, i sat on the bed before showering and notice there a huge dried bigger on the pillow incredibly disgusting but again we were so tired we just went down to the front to get new pillows. After I got out of the shower I pulled down the comforter to to get in bed and there was poop strikes on the sheets, actually POOP on the sheets!!!!! my husband went down to the front and asked for a new room but they just brought new sheets up and my husband helped the guy change them. Bu this point I was so tired buy so grossed out it was hard to sleep. We had an early wake up to get out to our plans, so my son gets in the shower comes out and says did anyone loose a tooth? and of course none of us did. There was a human TOOTH in the bathtub!!!! but again we had plans we had to be to so as we were out we were messaging with the hotel they said they would have it very clean for when we got back, we got back around 1am again and the other contact lens we haven’t seen the first day was still on the dresser so obviously it wasn’t cleaned. we go to checkout the next day and of course non even manager but the front desk people said they all knew about the situation and they would take care of it so I fully expected to get the stay refunded as it was the worst experience we have ever had and we didn’t stay at a motel 6 it was pricey so you wouldn’t expect to have teeth and poop in your room. we came back later in the early evening to talk to a manger before we flew out and again no manager available so I called the next day and spoke to the manager Jose he had absolutely no compassion about the situation and acted like it wasn’t so bad and gave us 50% off the first day saying that’s all he could do when I asked who was above him because that was not acceptable he said he didn’t know he had no idea who else I could talk to or who his boss was. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING HOTEL and the WROSE CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever encountered!! I don’t have pictures of the bloggers or poop because we went to the front desk to have that handled but I do have pictures of the tooth and one of the contact lenses
