The Shoreham

The Shoreham has become my go-to hotel whenever I'm in town. As a returning guest, I always know I'll be welcomed with exceptional service, spotless accommodations, and a comfortable stay. The entire staff is warm, professional, and attentive, making every visit a great experience. I'd especially like to recognize Hotel Manager Gabrielle, who was an absolute pleasure. Gabrielle went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable, and the genuine hospitality and attention to detail truly set the hotel apart. I highly recommend The Shoreham to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable hotel with outstanding service. I can't wait for my next visit!

This hotel charges massive, unproven smoking fees for faulty smoke detector alerts. Huge disappointment.

Avoid this hotel. We arrived late at night, checked in, paid the security deposit, and went upstairs expecting at least a clean room. Instead, we found the dirtiest hotel room I have ever seen. The carpet was covered in stains and visible dirt, the bathroom had yellow stains throughout, the blinds and windows were filthy, and the window did not even close properly, letting cold air into the room. The room looked neglected and poorly maintained. We immediately returned to reception because there was no way we were staying there. The receptionist mentioned another room, so I asked if I could quickly see it first to make sure it was actually clean. I was told, "We don't tour rooms." After seeing the first room, I wasn't willing to blindly accept another. We contacted Booking.com, who initially told us a refund should be possible. The reception staff also told us the manager would most likely approve it the next morning, so we left the hotel after about 15 minutes. The next day, the refund was denied, and they even held my security deposit for almost a month despite us never staying in the room. While at reception, I overheard staff saying they "wouldn't be in business if they gave refunds like that." In my opinion, they would be in much better business if they cleaned their rooms instead. Booking.com was ultimately unable to help despite what we had been told. This was by far the worst hotel experience of our trip. Save yourself the stress and book somewhere else.
