HAMPTON INN AND SUITES MAHWAH, NJ

This may be one of the worst Hampton Inns I’ve ever stayed in. Rooms have a musty mildewy smell, carpets may have never been cleaned before. I can prove this to you. Wet a towel with water and rub it on the carpet here. The towel turns pitch black. Picture frames missing from the wall. Light fixtures were broken in my room as well. When I first walked into my room I felt like I was in a super 8. Don’t stay here. The value and atmosphere is not even close to where the Hampton inn brand should be.

The area around the hotel had ample food options close by. The hotel was going through a much needed renovation. The room was clean but very worn. Obvious damage and the room was in need of some TLC. Breakfast was average and nothing special. I found the staff to be very helpful and accommodating. There was an issue with the ice machine on the 2nd floor and the front staff went above and beyond to help out. I am interested in seeing the outcome of the renovations and would stay there again.

This is a very well managed property. It’s currently undergoing some renovations, and a lot of the interior looks new. Front desk assistants were both extremely helpful. Breakfast was very good.
