Comfort Inn and Suites Newark

Room had a weird smell. There were spiderwebs in the corners of the room and there was a spider in the bathroom. The worst thing though was the lack of a cleaning crew. We stayed for 4 nights and they never cleaned our room. After 2 nights of no cleaning I specifically went to the front desk to ask if someone could clean the room and the person told me they were fully booked so they did not have capacity to clean all the rooms. I ended up asking one of the cleaning workers and they told me they were told to only clean rooms that were checking out. This is unacceptable. If the hotel is fully booked then you should have more staff to clean. Not surprised there were spiderwebs and weird smells if the cleaning crew is short staffed and rushing. Save yourself the disappointment and find another hotel!

Filthy and reeking, the Wyndham is in disrepair and should be avoided. The hotel is no better than rent-by-the-hour motel/dive. It is also grossly overpriced. Avoid this poorly run hotel, spend the same across the street and get a clean hotel with decent service. You've been warned.
