Hawthorn Inn & Suites Albuquerque Airport

This Holiday Inn Express Albuquerque Airport is very conveniently located to and from the Airport and to downtown Albuquerque. The check -in staff are exceptionally helpful and nice. Both Laura and Angel were very quick in checking us and out the both times we stayed there during the week of the annual Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. It was my birthday and I was unable to locate a miniature hot air balloon paper decoration in town. Upon check out on during the end of the Balloon Fiesta, Angel offered to one of the balloon decorations for me. She absolutely made my birthday a memorable one!!! In addition, during the mornings when the balloon festival is scheduled for the early morning drone, dawn patrol, and mass ascension, there are quick breakfast items to take on the go. It makes it easier and not have to look for a place to purchase breakfast. Also, the lobby and breakfast rooms were decorated with hot air balloon decorations and banners which was welcoming during the Albuquerque International Balloon Festival week. Definitely a great place to stay if you are visiting Albuquerque!!

We never went to or stayed at the property, however they charged us for a stay. the property was contacted multiple times and we have been told a number of different stories. Guest beware of this property!

My husband and I were only there for five minutes because I had just walked over to the window side of the bed to get my readers and novel situated on the nightstand when....I look down to find a very large, dead roach on the floor. We were told the hotel had just been sprayed the day before--gross!! We did not stay. We were offered a suite but declined. Money to be refunded and we will not return. Other things: dirty, smelly elevator, something appearing of mold at the ceiling level of the laundry room (which was across the hall), and general dirtiness (carpet, vents, etc) as well as a stink of some sort.
