Warning: don’t ever stay here.It was the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel. We let the property know that we would check-in late (~1am) ahead of time. When we arrived and called the number at the front desk, the owner/property manager said that our room wasn’t available due to a “plumbing issue”, and blamed Booking.com for not letting us know. There were no other hotels in Hudson that night (it was very late), we didnt have a car (we took the train), so me and my wife had to sleep on the floor/couches of the lobby until the first train the following morning. We told the property manager straight up that we had no other choices and we would take the room even without water/with plumbing issues, but their response was that “they didnt have the room available”. We obviously called Booking.com the following day and they said they were never informed of this issue from the property manager and were having difficulties contacting the hotel. Please don’t ever stay here. Needless to say, we’re still fighting to get the refund (!!) and will likely to see what other options we have.

I had a terrible experience with this hotel. I had booked for 2 nights through Hotels.com and got a confirmation. I called the hotel front desk before my trip to make sure the room would have 2 beds and was told by the person that yes, they had my room with two beds as requested. So it was a shock to arrive and find that they had no record of my reservation and the hotel was fully booked. Arguing our case didn't help. It was a very busy weekend in the Hudson River Valley so it took many phone calls to finally find a place, 30 minutes away, and only for one night. The person at the desk said that the hotel never confirmed with Expedia (I guess they own Hotels.com) and that this happens sometimes. Either they are terribly sloppy business people or dishonest and they gave the room to someone who would pay more than what the hotel would get through Hotels.com. I was willing to give the place a chance but many poor reviews should have warned me off. This area has gotten quite expensive and I think you just have to suck it up and pay more for decent accommodations.

after the absolutely dreadful reviews-- we were pleasantly surprised! the room was clean and spacious. the downsides: 1. the fridge was warm at best. could not figure out how to make it colder 2. the vending machine LITERALLY had one bag of pretzels in it. 3. the common areas are kind of depressing. But I would stay here again!
