Hayden Creek Inn

Myself and siblings were staying here for a family wedding this past weekend. The building is old, but clean. The rooms were clean, comfortable and cozy! There was an unfortunate and unforeseen circumstance that occurred, Austin, the owner, went above and beyond to rectify the situation! I am looking forward to returning when we are up in the area again!

If this "Inn" is supposed to be just "rustic", it has failed miserably. It is basically a rundown old building with a few old, rundown rooms containing furniture that has been obviously picked up along the side of the road. Dressers with no knobs, chairs that you couldn't or would not sit in, nails in the walls with nothing hanging (and unrepaired holes under the nails), a bathroom floor in severe need of re-finishing. The odors in the room are challenging to say the least and the water coming out of the bathrm sink faucet is the worst you can imagine. Had to wash and brush teeth using bottled water. Certainly couldn't shower there. There have to be places nearby that do not require as much courage to stay in.

My husband and I booked this based upon photos & ratings---all way too high for here. The place was only halfway managed. Despite being seniors, we were booked in a room with many step--some in serious disrepair-- and required walking on unequal unpaved ground to get to the room! missed breakfast b/c we slept too late, but was told we really did not miss anything since everyone was disappointed by quality and quantity of it. Not worth the money, at least until serious work is done on the property and serious manager there.
