Airway Inn at LaGuardia

I had a terrible experience here! Once arrived we were giving a room key to room 404 and initially had thoughts that the property didn’t look up to part as described over the phone. We felt so uncomfortable and unsafe that we decided to walk to Taco Bell. When we returned all of our belongings had been removed from the room without our knowledge! We immediately went to the desk to question what was going on. Staff stated they’d moved our things to room 407 and I apologized due to working 16 hours and had been sleep deprived im assuming. There were holes in the walls, holes in curtains, pipes out, my sister was becoming sick due to the dusty and unsanitary conditions. The air conditioning unit did not work even after I put it to 63 degrees. It was extremely noisy in the hallways , dogs barking loudly. We spent all of 5 hours in that hotel and decided to leave for our own sake. When expressing our concerns we were told that we were scamming them and that there was nothing that could be done! Over the phone we were told this place was “exclusive” however, there’s nothing exclusive about this property!! I have videos also but unable to upload them 0/10 PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

This hotel is DISGUSTING! The room was filthy, the shower was moldy. The ceiling in my bathroom was literally duct taped up. There were questionable stains all over the walls. No working vending machine or ice maker. No working elevator. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Photos are misleading about stairs to the entrance of the hotel. Bathroom was dreadful. It was a $25 cab ride from the airport-there is no free shuttle or transportation provided by the hotel as advertised. On aa.com it states they offer room service and shows pictures of a breakfast room. They have neither. Our room was $236 for one night. We had a nonrefundable reservation for our return trip which we blew off and stayed at the Marriott for almost the same money.
