Days Inn Broadway

The hotel is in a great neighborhood on the upper west side. Old world style lobby, very friendly and efficient staff. Rooms are small, but with the usual amenities, except a fridge. Plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby and a subway stop one half block away. Daily housekeeping was provided, a real plus!

I was a little worried going in because of the other reviews, but we needed a place to stay overnight in the area and it was the most convenient. Check in was a little slow but it appeared they were training a new person. We had a room on the 10th floor. The room and bathroom were clean (dated but not rundown). The A/C was loud but worked well. The bathroom smelled a little funny to start but running the fan cleared that up. The beds and linens were really clean and neat and the bed was pretty comfortable. Very little noise considering we stayed a Saturday night into Sunday. Lots of food nearby.

This is not a bad place if you have reasonable expectations. Older property, but reliable daily maid service. Least expensive hotel on upper west side, so not same level as the Artehouse or the Beacon, but if u need to be in the 80s to 90s or above, its hard to beat for location. Very responsive front desk staff. Got a fridge delivered to room late at night. Also they provide complimentary passes to NY Fitness. If u need to be in this part of NYC, u get a lot for your money.
