Morningside Inn

The staff were extremely rude and unprofessional. They were dishonest with their billing causing a lot of hassle for us trying to get our money back. There rating is poor for a reason. Don't risk it. Even if it's the cheapest option, I'd recommend staying further away.

My wife and I recently had the extreme misfortune of staying at the Morningside Inn. During our stay, we encountered a house of horrors the likes of which we had never encountered before. Rat infestations in the kitchens. Drug dealing downstairs in the lobby. Round the clock violence on the upper floors with the result that four rooms had to be cordoned off and placed under surveillance. A nasty, sadistic staff who evicted tenants in the late evening hours who had the temerity to complain about the armies of rats and about the incessant noise. After four nights of this, we checked out and found a very satisfactory hotel down the block and our vacation in the Big Apple became a joy.

The room was tiny, that didn't bother us, was very warm, fabulous location, on the last day we were checking to make sure we had everything, got a massive shock as the bed base was very badly bloodstained, looked like someone had been shot...complained got nowhere...definitely never go back to this " hotel "
