Ymca Flushing

Room is tiny as you expect in NYC at this price point but its clean. The toilets are disaster. No privacy, dirty and most times out of toilet paper. Its advisable to spend some extra and get a proper hotel room. Beware of the elevator. I got struck in it at 5 in the morning with two other guys and the reception didn't bother to come up. Turns out they were trying to figure out where the maintenance guys are and the fire dept can't be bothered. We were there for half and hour and guess what some guest just pressed button from outside without knowing that we were struck and it opened.

Plenty of meaningful activities, very clean, and improving their appearance as always for their members. Great place. You can find a class for any age,and interest. The teachers for the classes work hard to teach you.

Had to spend a couple of nights here while attending the US Open. Just a stop away on 7. Staff was fantastic. Booking.com wanted to charge me 30dollars more a night than booking with YMCA directly. Had a single room. Like being in a college dorm, bathrooms down the hall. Had key for bathroom. Was clean. Air conditioning worked fine. I used bathroom and shower in the gym pool area rather than the bathroom on my floor. They were cleaner, water pressure better and more private. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Not the Ritz but clean, safe spot to rest my head. I’d book with YMCA directly to save money.
