When we travel south from Canada Lake George is our usual midway point, and this is our usual stop. Perfect grounds for families - a covered pool, park, basketball, and ping pong make for a great time for our family after being in the car for hours. Perfect for unwinding. The rooms are clean and well appointed, the staff is friendly and very helpful, and as others have mentioned the location is pretty central while also being quiet. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel is amazing. The location is perfect and walking distance for everything. Huge plus is the covered heated pool in case of inclement weather you can still swim and the playground is great for kids. Only negative is we stayed for 3 nights and received no housekeeping. We did ask one day for a quick freshen up and tipped on the Venmo and they did not come. Otherwise we will be staying again on our yearly lake George trip.

The Adirondack Retreat Inn & Suites is in a perfect location for exploring Lake George Village. In my experience, motel-style places are typically run-down & not the most savory or safe, but Adirondack Retreat Inn is not at all that way. I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful hanging plants around the property upon arrival. We had a motel room (not rental house) with king bed & while the room was very basic, it was SPOTLESSLY clean and very cold when we walked in. They turn the A/C on for you ahead of time which was a nice touch. Parking was just in front of the room. We were only here for 1 night so did not use the pool or fire pit. There is a vending & ice machine conveniently located near the rooms. The greeting upon checking in was friendly & helpful. She provided us with a map of the Village & directions when we asked about seeing a couple of things. The property has quiet hours which we appreciated. The whole thing + Lake George Village just has such a wholesome, Hallmark feel to it; it’s quite charming. Overall, an affordable lovely stay for our first visit to the ADK.
