A very friendly easygoing place.

We booked a reservation well in advance requesting a lake front room as high as possible. Upon arrival we were told that our room was not available in the main hotel. We were directed to the motel like building next door to the main hotel. This building is nothing more than a 2 story motel with outside room entrances. And we were charged the same price as the main hotel. This motel is never, or almost never shown on the website. We refused to pay, and requested a full refund. After a short wait, we were issued the refund. We then had to scramble to find another hotel on the lake. Fortunately, we were able to get a nice lake front room at the Mariot. Caution, be very careful booking here, make certain your room is in the main hotel. We won't be going here again. T. H, Toms River, NJ.

The “five” has a caveat. We carefully booked our stay for the main hotel because I prefer that over a motel. Our reservation was changed to accommodate a convention. They tried very hard (after) to make it right and moved us for the 2nd and 3rd night, but still a stutter in a carefully planned trip. Overall, lovely. Very nice setting, convenient to everything, clean, accommodating staff, excellent food, reasonable price for value.
