Doubletree Chelsea

The location of the DoubleTree Chelsea was excellent, and Romaine at the front desk was wonderful—extremely pleasant, helpful, and accommodating. Our room didn’t have a refrigerator, which we needed to store my husband’s insulin. Romaine took care of it right away and had one delivered to our room in under an hour. We really appreciated his help. My only complaint, but unfortunately a significant one, was the elevator situation. There are only two elevators, and staying on the 6th floor meant that by the time an elevator reached us, it was almost always already full. On more than one occasion I waited while several completely full elevators stopped at our floor before finally giving up and taking the stairs down. One time, after four full elevators in a row, I just took the stairs. Other than the elevator issue, we had a very good stay. The location and especially the excellent service from Romaine made a very positive impression. I would definitely recommend the hotel, but I’d suggest requesting a room on the highest floor available. You’ll have a much better chance of actually getting on an elevator on the way down.

An excellent stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel New York City – Chelsea. I had a very pleasant stay at the Hilton Chelsea. The hotel is ideally located, making it easy to explore New York and its main neighborhoods and attractions. I particularly appreciated the warm welcome and professionalism of the staff, who were always available and attentive. A special mention goes to the manager, who was extremely helpful, available, and always willing to assist. The room was comfortable, clean, and pleasant—perfect for relaxing after a busy day exploring New York. Overall, it was a very positive experience that I would highly recommend without hesitation. I will be delighted to stay here again on my next trip to New York!
