Holiday Inn Rochester Downtown

We booked and paid for our room through Expedia. When we checked out at 7 am the clerk told us there was a balance due. Since there wasn't anyone there who could help we had no choice but to pay again. We have been trying to contact the hotel since May to resolve this issue with absolutely no results. No one answers the phone. The line completely disconnects regardless of what option you choose. Now, the phone is out of order. The hotel is substandard and people were smoking dope next to the building. Definitely not a family oriented hotel. Customer service is nonexistent.

We had booked this hotel (on Booking.com) back in the spring for 1 night in July. The day before, Wyndham sent me a form to check in and I even had to provide my id and photo. We arrived to the hotel on our day to check in to find the building boarded up, with notices on the door saying the building was condemned on June 12!!!! The hotel was actually being looted as we sat there in shock!!! A man was stealing a giant screen tv as we sat there astonished. For over an hour we tried to contact both Booking.com and Wyndham, all four of us. No one could help us, they even disconnected us!!!! We were out hundred of dollars as we had to pay over double our rate because we were left with no hotel. The follow up from Booking.com and Wyndham has been silence and benevolence. Shame on them both!

This was the worst hotel experience I have had for 20 years. The hotel have no central aircon but only some standalone very noisy aircon units blowing cold air here and there. The overall indoor temperature was very uncomfortable. I was told the aircon had been down for 1 year by an employee. The breakfast sucks - everything sucks - DONT GO THERE.
