THE STRATHALLAN - A DOUBLETREE

The hotel has recently completed a beautiful renovation. I made a booking error but they corrected it in advance through a quick email. The day of our arrival I tried to get reservations for dinner at their restaurant, Char, but was informed it was closed for the Memorial Day holiday. We were recommended another local restaurant so we delayed our check-in until after dinner, thinking we could grab drinks upstairs at their rooftop bar later but that was also closed. Since we were only staying 1 night it was disappointing to not have any food options at the hotel. Thankfully, we were upgraded at check-in and were surprised with a charcuterie tray in the room. The room was clean, spacious and well decorated. There was a strong odor from the bathroom that we hoped would dissipate over time but it never did. Overall, the hotel remains in a good location, the renovation was beautiful and all of our interactions with staff were positive. Not having an open restaurant or bar on site during our stay and the odor in the bathroom were the only negatives. We appreciate their thoughtfulness in the room upgrade and welcome amenity and recognized diamond status.

Cleanliness- perfect Customer service- perfect Building was immaculately up kept in all areas. Hotel was even lightly fragrance to smell nice. Everything was exactly as shown online. Food and beverages were good though prices were high. Ironing board was missing in my room; front desk had it brought up immediately despite being late at night. I couldn’t be more pleased with service from front desk and bar staffs. The property was beautiful and the experience was exceptional. A refreshing break from the disappointments I’ve stayed at lately. Hospitality has become a lost art in the hospitality industry.

Adam Bradley, Event Planning manager is THE BEST! He helped my family with the plans for my sister's wedding held at the Strathallan at the end of April. Adam is a top notch professional- extremely good at what he does. He was on his game consistently throughout out the nine or so months we worked with him. He is patient, attentive to detail, creative and always pleasant. Additionally, his staff were great. It was perfect in every way.
