We are writing to provide comprehensive feedback regarding our recent stay and the wedding reception hosted at your venue on the occasion of our son's marriage. While we had anticipated a memorable and enjoyable experience, we regret to inform you that several aspects of our time with you fell significantly short of our expectations, particularly given the substantial investment made for this special event. Our accommodation for the two nights, specifically Room #3, presented several challenges. The bed in our room was notably uncomfortable, which significantly impacted our ability to rest adequately. Furthermore, we were surprised to find that no housekeeping service was provided on the second day of our stay, which is typically expected for a multi-night reservation. Basic amenities, such as consistent access to ice, were also unavailable. The location of Room #3, necessitating repeated trips up and down stairs, proved inconvenient, especially when compounded by what appeared to be a general understaffing situation across the venue. During the wedding reception, we observed a consistent lack of proactive service from your team. A significant example occurred at the self-service cocktail bar, where glasses were not consistently replenished. This necessitated guests, including myself, actively seeking out staff members to request that additional glasses be made available, which detracted from the celebratory atmosphere and the overall guest experience. The catering services for the reception were a source of considerable disappointment. Several guests reported that the food served was cold. More concerning was the instruction given to some guests by staff members to "watch our portions" to avoid running out of food. This type of directive is entirely inappropriate for a catered event, especially a wedding, where ample provision for all attendees is a fundamental expectation. The impression left was that the quantity of food was inadequately planned, rather than guests being overly generous with their servings. A particularly regrettable incident occurred during the serving of the wedding cake, a highlight of any reception. Forks quickly ran out, and upon requesting more, the response received from a staff member was a dismissive "I can ask." This reply, in light of the significant expenditure for the event, was profoundly unsatisfactory and reflected a lack of readiness and guest-focused service during a crucial moment. The venue's facilities also presented notable issues. Parking was severely limited for the number of guests attending, leading to disorganised parking and considerable inconvenience. Additionally, we noted several maintenance concerns, including numerous potholes in the parking areas that require urgent repair. More alarmingly, flagstones in various outdoor areas, including directly in front of our room entrance, were broken and uneven, posing a potential tripping hazard and safety risk to guests. In conclusion, the cumulative effect of these shortcomings—from the comfort of our accommodation to the critical aspects of service and catering during the reception, as well as the general condition of the facilities—significantly detracted from what should have been a joyous and seamless celebration. Based on our experience, we regret that we cannot, in good conscience, recommend your venue for future events, especially for occasions as significant as a wedding, where such meticulous attention to detail and impeccable service are paramount.

Not knowing what the Inn was like before updates/renovations, it was a nice room/stay. It will be neat to see the completed Spa & outdoor area when they are finished.
