Had a week to enjoy the Outer Banks and had so looked forward to it until my arrival. The unit of 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms was filthy. Mold on shower curtains as well as ceiling. Had to buy a disinfectant to clean area as to not suffer from infections. Holes in walls throughout. No shelves in refrigerator. No globe light on fan. Kitchen cabinets had missing doors. Ice maker broken .No lock on sliding door. Front door lock had to be replaced because key wouldn’t open door. Cable disconnected in living and bedroom outlet. And in addition you’re given a checklist of what is required when checking out of unit. I didn’t know I was part of the staff here that had to strip beds and place soiled towels in a specific area! What part of the name “Resort “ did these accommodations comply with? I’ll answer that, NONE! As a former Flight Attendant I have been a critic of good and bad accommodations and this has scrapped the bottom of the barrel as being one of the worse. The General Manager MARK CLIPPINGER should take some interest in the care and sanitary conditions of the “Resort” he manages. Run, don’t walk from renting from this location…

Barrier Island station is a lovely timeshare community in Duck NC. It has two pools and a significant beach access, also lots of recreation facilities. There is a lot to do on the outer banks, and the unit has sufficient cooking and baking pans for a family vacation.

Hard to work with. Booking.com confirmed our stay and barrier island overbooked. If they are overbooking , take your listing off of booking! Idiots! We had to get it canceled, which was VERY difficult to do. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
