Checked in and keys to my room didnt work. Went to desk to get them reprogrammed. Still didnt open they door. 3rd time, I went back to the front desk, the desk clerk walked with me. Her Keys worked. The problem was the door handle opens backwards. Instead of pushing the handle down as in normal handles, she had to pull the handle up. Stated she forgot to tell me. Happens, but this was ridiculous. Still had to push hard on the door to open it with my shoulder the whole stay. You also have to really slam the door to he able to look at. Ask for an end room which we got to park near the door to the hallway to be near our room. Keys would not open that outside door so I had to walk around to the front of the hotel to get in the building. So much for security as guest and employees used a rock to keep the door from closing the rest of our stay, so anyone could go in without a key. Day and at night a rock was propping this supposedly secured door open to anybody. Our carpet was really damp on check in and out door was propped open with a trash can along with others on 1st floor. I was told by the desk clerk, that the carpets must have been cleaned that day and no one told her. Nice to have clean carpet but not wet carpet. And why didnt the desk clerk know? Very poor staff communication. Husband moved the sofa out in our room and found pop corn shrimp, dirty socks and other food items under it, so clearly they only cleaned the traffic area. Tried to go to the pool only to find their is no room key access but a 4 digit code. Another trip to the desk to get the access code. Poor communication on check in about the ammenities. The only thing that was good and clean was the breakfast area and the lady who does the breakfast who was working the desk as well as the regular breakfast lady was out sick. 2nd shift was no where to be found when there was an elderly couple who I encountered while getting ice, who ask me if I knew anything on how to check in on as they had been standing there 20 mins waiting to check in . The back office where they sit was dark, lights off. So I knocked on the "Employees Only " door not once but twice several times for this poor couple. The clerk finally emerged from the dark office. Very poor customer service and very poor communication to guest. I can say the outside curb appeal was nice and the housekeepers I encountered were all very nice and accomadating. The front desk staff however needs training and closely monitored. In addition to the wet carpet on check in, I could hardly breath as I slept the 1st night and sneezing like crazy. I checked the a/c filters the next morning which easily slide out and in the top of the unit, and they hadn't bern cleaned in a long time. They simply rinse off and slide back in. I took them both too the bath tub to rinse them but the dust was so thick, I literally had to wash and scrub then. Rinsed them and inserted them back into the a/c unit clean. Problem solved, no more sneezing. Poor management here, poor communication between manager and staff. 1st shift desk clerk was vaping in the office on clear view from the desk as well on Very poor representation for a Choice Hotel. Very disappointed and did not feel safe there. Pics of a/c filters are posted.

My husband and I stayed here from the 17th of April 2026 till the 19th we have stayed here many times in the past last stay before this was in April of 24..This hotel is showing its age .The elevator makes a lot of noise like it is going to break also the room we were first given had a broken refrigerator so we were moved to another room.This hotel needs new carpets and the bathrooms need updating they are small and looking old especially the showers.Also noise level is high.The staff are nice they only clean the rooms once for a two day stay I am assuming this is because they do not have enough help.A 2 star hotel at best.

Staff was awful. Room was double booked. Room was disgusting. 2nd floor wreaks. No amenities. I would rather sleep in my car than sleep here.
