PINE NEEDLES LODGE AND GOLF CL

Golf course was in okay condition considering the drought, but te “stay” part four “stay and play” failed to meet our expectations. My group has been coming here for over 20 years, and the change in management is very apparent. Because we were not part of the “golfari” we had to eat all our meals in the bar, and could only order off the bar menu. They were out of fries, onion rings, and sweet potato fries, leaving chips and a salad as our only side options. The shuttle took us to Southern Pines GC for an afternoon round, but then stranded us by sending the driver home for the day! Waited 45 minutes for them to get someone to pick us up. The pool was closed with algae, they were working on that but it wasn’t opening until after we left. Lots of other little issues. The resort has lost its “welcome home, you’re part of the family” feel that we have enjoyed for so long and brings us back each year. Don’t know if we will come back.

This is at least the eighth time I’ve come to either Women’s or Adult Golfari. Each year the huge and experienced team of instructors take me where I am and give me the insights and tools to take home and practice to take me to the next level. Additionally the entire staff will bend over backwards to not only make you feel at home, “part of the family” as well as offer you the best experience possible. I like the term quirky for the older lodges, I haven’t stayed at Bogie Lodge yet but it is newer. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable to rest and recover for the next day. Focus on the good. You need to come…you won’t be sorry.

We had two rooms at Pine Needles. First room the King Bed uncomfortable & no internet. We moved the next day. This King Bed was more worn out & no internet. We love The Loop and practice facilities but with little sleep we had an unpleasant stay.
