Comfort Suites (Mason)

I know this wasn't the fault of the hotel, but we didn't hardly get any sleep as the people in the room above us had a horse race all night??? Then, about 3 a.m., a dog cried pretty much for 2 hours until we just got up. There were pieces of mulch on the top bed cover?? The bathroom had bugs and mold in the corners. We didn't even attempt the pool. It was green and nasty. The shower wasn't as clean as it should be. Last but not least, the breakfast sausage was pretty much raw. We ended up having to cook it on the waffle maker. One more complaint, the apples were not washed as they still had the intact stickers on them. But it was in a fantastic location from the distance from Kings Island to restaurants close by. We were in room 130.

I recently stayed at this hotel during a WGI event, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth, efficient, and welcoming. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help with anything I needed. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it easy to relax after long days at the event. What really stood out to me was how hassle-free my entire stay was. I didn’t encounter a single issue—everything worked as it should, and the overall atmosphere was calm and accommodating, even with the hotel being busy due to the event. Because of that, I was genuinely surprised to see a group giving the hotel a hard time during my stay. From my perspective, there was absolutely no reason for the complaints I overheard. My experience was completely positive, and the hotel seemed to be doing a great job handling the increased demand from the event. Overall, I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others attending WGI or any nearby events. A reliable, comfortable place with great service and zero stress.
