Beware! Hotel staff and management prioritize their drug addicted guests over sober and patient guests. We arrived to a woman high on hard drugs being checked out by first responders. She had caused problems in the lobby, was evaluated and allowed to stay. We had the unfortunate experience of being placed directly under her room and she yelled, crashed around, screamed, cried, and stomped for most of the night. We didn't sleep and were scared when we heard her receive guests in her present state and the noises that ensued. We asked the front desk for help twice and nothing was resolved. I asked for a refund for one of our two night's stay, as my daughter had no sleep for her softball tournament the first day, and the hotel refused. They didn't move us, didn't credit us, and didn't care. They were too afraid to remove a criminal and rewarded their sober law abiding guests with the advice to book a top floor room next time directly with them, to avoid being stuck under a disruptive guest. We had booked a top floor room directly with them. They just didn't honor the request. If you are looking for a safe, restful hotel where good customer service is a priority, this is NOT your property.

I'm not sure if something transformative has happened at the Comfort Suites Lakewood over the last year (reading previous reviews from 2024), because my experience was fantastic! This is a GREAT mid-price option for families and solo business travelers, and everything was spotless. The customer service was also outstanding, with a special shoutout to Ferry, who made my 5 day stay so pleasant and welcoming! He really was so kind! The pool area was clean and warm and I had no complaints about anything. If you're looking for bougie or boutique, this is not that hotel. If you're looking for comfort, a great clean suite, and very positive customer service for a really great price, I definitely recommend them. This will be my new "home base" for travel to CO. My experience at Lakewood Comfort Suites was extremely disappointing and completely different from what was advertised online. Serious issues during my stay: The room and hallways were filthy, with stains, dirt, and an overall smell of neglect. The grounds were littered with trash and cigarette butts everywhere, showing no effort to maintain a clean environment. There was active construction in multiple areas, including unfinished walls, exposed materials, and debris left out in common spaces. None of this was disclosed when I booked. The pool was dirty and unusable, despite being advertised as a featured amenity. People were smoking marijuana openly in the parking lot, which made me feel unsafe. I raised these concerns with the front desk immediately after arrival, and was told the reservation was non-refundable. However, non-refundable policies do not override the obligation to provide safe, clean accommodations as advertised. For clarity: This was not a case of simply preferring a different property. The conditions were so poor that I would never have chosen to stay had the listing been honest about them. I documented these problems with photos and video. Before booking, I strongly urge you to read the other negative reviews that describe similar issues—this was not an isolated incident. I attempted to resolve this with the property, but they refused to offer any compensation or solutions. Avoid this hotel. The property was dirty, unfinished, and unsafe, and the management was unwilling to address any of these serious problems.
