The Anniversary Inn - Logan

Had two nights booked in the Caribbean Sea cave. Came back to our room the and turned the bath tub on to have multiple bugs crawl out of the faucet. After already killing two bugs right before that. I called the front desk they said they’d call me back. I then found a cockroach on the floor. Packed all of our things up and went to the lobby. They offered us another room we walked into it to find two bugs on the floor as we walked in. So we asked if there was anything else. She said she would leave notes for the manager and give us a refund. I ended up calling Erin the next day who told us bugs are normal it’s an old building. If that’s the case they shouldn’t be charging $300 a night and have that in the room description. If you want to pay an outrageous amount of money to sleep and bath with bugs this is the place for you.

We had booked the Lost in Space room, which advertised the jetted tub. After driving six hours, found out that the jetted tub had no working stopper. I called the front, and she said "Oh, I forgot to tell you--yes, there is a stopper (a thin piece of plastic used for when the drain is AWAY from the tub wall) which doesn't work well so you have to sort of stick it to the wall and slide it down and hopefully it sticks." Yeah--it didn't. Called the front again and she said "I'll leave a note and the morning staff will hopefully be able to rectify that on your bill." Morning comes, breakfast comes (just don't. The fritatta was one of the most bland, microwaved things ever, and the oatmeal was just sad. Juice was from concentrate. Strongly recommend they just stop breakfast service). I go to the front desk, she knows NOTHING about what I'm talking about, and says yes, they do in fact have extra stoppers and the last night's gal must have been the new staff. Proceed to leave my name and e-mail, ask for an e-mail from the manager about the bill. Days go by, I e-mail, I leave messages on FB, I call and get staff but no manager...finally the assistant manager comes back and offers me 10% off my next stay. INSULTING. Because they have this return deal where it's like 15% off your next stay if you book again in x amount of days, so this is less than that. I say this, plus the fact we are NOT coming back. Off of a $240 stay, we get about $18 back. Seriously. For not being able to use the amenity of the room that is advertised--can't even use it as a bathtub b/c there is NO WORKING STOPPER. Also sidebar--fridge was turned up so high the sparkling cider was frozen solid, and couldn't fill the bath to defrost that or the frozen water either so.... Waste of money. Paint job is cool--would have noticed it in the bedroom had the blacklight worked..... More than 1 star because at least it was off street parking and the sheets were clean. Old mattress that slants to one side but...clean sheets. Never again.

I’m genuinely disappointed by my recent experience with the Anniversary Inn. My wife and I have stayed at their various locations for years to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries, and until now we’ve never had a single issue. Unfortunately, our most recent visit to the Logan location left us feeling dismissed and frustrated on what was supposed to be a special night for my wife’s birthday. I booked our room in January through their official website and received a confirmation email with a reservation number. When we arrived for check in, the receptionist couldn’t find any record of the reservation — not under my name, not under the confirmation number. I even forwarded her the confirmation email, yet the only solution offered was a list of different rooms that were still available that night. None of the other rooms fit the theme we had in mind when we had intentionally booked weeks in advance. When I asked whether they would offer any form of compensation for the mix up, the receptionist said she could “tell her manager” and would call me once she heard back. We never received a call. Not even a follow up message. We drove an hour and a half, arranged a pet sitter, and planned activities in the area for the next day. Missing out on the room we had chosen — and receiving no apology, no explanation as to why this occurred, and no effort to make things right — was incredibly disappointing. I wanted this night to be perfect for my wife, and instead we were left scrambling with no support from the inn. While the Salt Lake City location has always treated us wonderfully, the Logan location made us feel brushed aside and unvalued as returning customers. I can’t imagine how someone traveling from out of state would feel if their reservation simply “disappeared” with no compensation or accountability. Sadly, we won’t be returning to the Logan Anniversary Inn.
