Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Franklin

Spacious room with a chaise lounge, and bathroom has nice lighting, that's refreshing. Good breakfast, pork and turkey sausage, pre-made cheese omelets, plenty of other choices. No coffee in your room but 24/7 in the lobby. Our room safe didn't work. The fitness room could use some TLC, water cooler didn't look as if it ever held water, and the TV wouldn't work until I figured out the plug didn't fit all the way into the outlet, changed outlets - worked fine. At the pool, we saw water dripping from fire sprinkler into the pool, I think they had called a repair person down for that. Yes if stay again but I wouldn't have too high of expectations.

Decent room in a decent area. I don’t know much about Franklin, I just decided to do a one day stay away from Mason Ohio! I was expecting it to be similar to the one I visited a couple of months prior, but overall it came up a little too short in comparison and didn’t give me that “ home-y feel”.. Mainly because there was a stench upon entering, of perhaps a plumbing issue, and the smell stayed in the lobby, and I would have to smell it everyone I passed through. My toilet would run loudly after a flush, but I would probably stay again if there were no other options available.

1st time staying at this location, but we would stay there again. We did have an issue with the 1st room we had - the A/C wasn’t working correctly. They came and checked it out, and offered to move us to a different room. 2nd room was great, no issues. We did not get to try out the free breakfast either morning, but noticed that it was open 6am-10am - longer than a lot of hotels. Never made it down to the pool either, but it’s not something that we would have used anyway. Close enough to Dayton and many good restaurants. Check out was easy and quick!
