The Inn At Honey Run

We spent a weekend in Millersburg at the Inn at Honey Run. The Inn was perfect for a couples get away. The room was very nicely decorated with a cozy fire place. We really enjoyed the Honeycomb area with the private patios, walking paths, and happy hour. The decor was nicely done and everything seemed very clean. The bed was very comfortable! Location was also very good and close to everything. Shout out to the happy hour servers in the Tarragon who were the most friendly. I would highly recommend the Amish buggy ride with David and Max. They are both great! I understand this is a small inn that is locally run and not a big chain. I would recommend that the front desk team get some customer service and organization training. We were called a week before about our Amish buggy ride being moved to a different day and time. So we hustled to get there to have the happy hour included and get the buggy ride. When we arrived, we were told that the ride was on Saturday at a different time. No one contacted us and it messed up our plans for Saturday. There was no apology or ownership that they did not follow up on any changes. I found the staff a bit curt and “it’s your problem” attitude. When we asked for at least the wine/beer pour for HH at 5:03pm- we were declined. Truly, we were pretty underwhelmed in the first 10 minutes. For an Inn that wants to truly be customer focused and considered “luxury”, they need to understand the importance of customer service and making things right. Would it have hurt to give a cocktail for the included HH after the mucked up the buggy ride? It messed up the evenings on Friday and Saturday. Invite the GM to call to share. Overall beautiful property though!

This is one of the best places I’ve ever stayed! From start to finish, staff were amazing, super friendly, and helpful with suggestions about our stay and the surrounding area. I wish I had gotten the names of the women who worked the desk and our waitress, as they were all so incredibly kind. The property is large, and I wish I had booked another day just to explore it (although we did do the outdoor art walk after checkout). We had a honeycomb room and it was just as impressive in person as it looked online! We absolutely loved the fireplace, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the little patio felt secluded. The second we saw the room we knew we had to book breakfast in the room for the following morning. We got the “Romance at Daybreak” package, and it was well worth the money. It came with a ton of food, coffee, and Bloody Marys. Everything was delicious and it was delivered at the exact time we requested! We had a great time feeding the sheep, and we even saw kittens roaming the property. We had so much fun spotting them and watching them jump and play! We ate dinner at the restaurant, and that was also delicious. The drinks were the perfect combination of strong and flavorful, and the food was incredibly fresh and filling. I wish I had room for dessert afterwards! After checkout and wandering the property, we were just a short drive away from Berlin / Amish Country. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this hotel and if I ever find myself in Ohio again I will definitely be returning!

We have stayed at the Inn at least annually for over 20 years, and plan to continue. We have referred many friends who have all loved it too.
