We arrived at the Hotel at 4:00 pm to check in, and they informed us they were overbooked and could not honor our reservation. They arranged accommodations at a Holiday Inn off the expressway 25 minutes away. They said there were several other guests who were also bummed. How does this happen? The Hotel Room rate at the Holiday Inn was $134 a night. I prepaid $353 for our reservation. Now they are refusing to provide a refund. We chose this Location because we could walk to the event we were attending. It was our 25th wedding anniversary, and we attend this event every year for our anniversary. We are celebrating and will be drinking and, of course, do not want to drive so we paid extra to stay downtown. We live an hour away and could drive home, but because we are celebrating, we made this reservation. We were over an hour late for our event. Our entire Night was ruined; I spent an hour online with Expedia. The Hilton did not treat us fairly or respectfully and did not provide comparable accommodations. They should be held accountable for negligence and provide a full refund!

While the folks at the front desk were nice and the views from the room lovely (despite muck on the windows), this left a lot to be desired. The valet and parking aren't connected to the hotel, so that was a surprise extra bill. The rooms are large but very average. Closet space is nonexistent and, as we were there for a wedding with dress clothes, that became an issue. The iron was covered in muck and I am glad I tested it out on a towel before ruining a dress shirt. There were half-empty beverages in the mini-fridge and the room smelled musty. The bed was way too soft and I'm glad I asked for more pillows because they were so soft and thin I needed three of them to make up for one pillow. If you have to stay at a Hilton property, stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Perrysburg.
