NCED Conference Center and Hotel

This was my visit after a few years. The staff were awesome, especially in the food area. Most of the complex has not changed. The food is good with a wide variety of options. There are 3 meal times each day. They have renovated the standard rooms. There are new side tables and a mini fridge. There are more surfaces for your things but no drawers. The new bathroom layout is a bit awkward and the shower is not good. Without a door, water goes everywhere. The rug is then wet and will probably be moldy soon. There isn't a towel bar to hang for reuse. The main door allows a lot of light under, as do the short curtains over the window. The walls are thin so we can foot traffic and your neighbors alarms. The little things like that is what makes it just an adequate and not an awesome place to stay.

Bugs in the hotel rooms. Getting a staff to remove them has been impossible so far. Reported it early this morning. Reported it twice more. Still living with the bug in the room. Asked for bug spray or something to remove it myself. Couldn’t even be provided that. Unless you like rooming with bugs, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

While staying at the hotel the elevators were not functioning right and then when you try to use the gym facilities on certain Friday nights it is not available for hotel guests that are stuck here. The hotel food is not the best unless there is USPS or other bigwigs around where the food is worse than prison food. They finally came to the 21st century and placed fridges in the rooms but they are really small and there is no microwaves on the individual floor, the laundry facilities most of the time have one or two of the machines unavailable due to needing repairs. This place is run like a prison and if you come here for any type of training and you are not USPS then you are treated pretty well but if you are USPS then you are treated worse than prisoners. There used to be shuttles to the downtown area on the weekends and now that is also gone since COVID. If I had a choice I would never stay at this facility. The hotel staff are nice but the other negative aspects over rule the people.
