I prepaid through Expedia for 1 night. On the day of check-in, I called at 4 pm and said I would be there at 9 pm, as I had a dinner engagement. They said my booking was paid and that was fine. A few hours before I lost my ID and credit cards but had $500 cash. At the hotel, I had a copy of my passport and driver's license; the clerk, laughing, said no real ID, no credit card, can't stay, no refund. I had to drive 5 hours through the mountains to get home at 3 am as I had nowhere to stay. I had stayed there before; they had me in their records. I meet with my attorney tomorrow.

Wonderful value! Friendly and knowledgeable staff (especially Cindy!). Walkable to all our events, but also not too “in the thick of things.” Delicious continental breakfast. All the stars!!

As this is one of the less expensive hotels, I was not expecting luxury. The staff were friendly, and the hotel was well run. The furnishings were very old and looked as if they came out of the 1960s, but everything was in working order. My one significant complaint is the pillows. They came in two varieties - hard as rocks or flat as pancakes, and they appeared old. I could not sleep on them. The first night a stuffed a pillowcase with some clothing. The following day I bought some pillow stuffing at a fabric store. I stuffed a pillowcase and used safety pins to close it up. I slept well.
