Motel 6 Eugene South - Springfield

We had a HORRIBLE experience at this Motel 6!! We arrived around 9:30pm, after driving for 9 hours, exhausted. The person at the front desk gave us our key card and room number, and when we opened the door to our assigned room, someone was already in it! We went back to the front desk and she said she could give us a different room or a refund, and at that point we were SO tired, we just decided to take a different room, but I expressed my concern about our safety and PLEASE, PLEASE, guarantee that someone won't come into our room (dumb request, I know....). The manager was standing there during this exchange and told the front desk staff that this kept happening because she wasn't checking people out correctly. We get to our new room and it REEKS of cat pee, and there's an ozone machine running in it. There's no shower curtain in the bathroom, the AC doesn't work so it's hot and stuffy, and the TV doesn't work. My husband went to get us some food, and I bolted the door, but while he was out, that same manager tried to enter our room without knocking!!!! She said she needed to ozone machine, that it shouldn't be in our room. I gave her a piece of my mind, gave her the ozone machine, and slammed the door in her face. This was one of the worst experiences! If it hadn't been so late, and we weren't so tired, we would have gone to a different hotel/motel, but we just sucked it up and checked out at 5:30am. Do NOT stay here!!

High crime area stay away . Front desk has bad attitudes . Don’t lose anything around this place or you may never see it again . I recommend you find a more secure place to sleep since they don’t have security guards watching the place. I wish we never stayed here

This is probably the worst motel I have ever stayed at. There was bullet holes in the wall there was some weird wet substance on my bed there was black mold in the bathroom shower hardly worked and it was terrible. I suggest never going back here I went to a new motel and there were a whole bunch of bugs on the floor.
