Timberline Lodge

I visited this place on a day of rain, wind, and fog, but I appreciated the fireplace. It has more the feel of a very touristy high mountain refuge.

We had an excellent stay at the Timberline Lodge! The staff were so accommodating to all our needs. The room was so cozy and the pillows were super comfortable. The newer pool and hot tub areas are awesome! I highly recommend staying there! We also ate a wonderful meal at the Cascade Dining Room.

We reserved the Timberline Lodge after reading it’s a National Historic Landmark on Mount Hood built by hand during the Great Depression. It is AMAZING! Features hand-carved wood, wrought iron, and stone masonry crafted by locals. The entire story has been preserved for you to see; learn; and experience. Prior to our stay the “Grasshopper Fire” broke in Oregon. The Hotel was close enough for us to get daily updates yet far enough to recommend we come. That alone was a life experience well handled by the hotel personnel. We had a very cozy King room facing Mount Hood. A beautiful view seeing it capped with snow in August! We had a wonderful dinner; eloquent presentation; seamless service into a multi-sensory journey. The craft cocktails were on point as well. This is a very special memory in Oregon! Be sure you reserve this one and if you ski even better!
