BEST WESTERN PONY SOLDIER-GRESHAM

This is a lovely, cozy hotel with good amenities (swimming pool, hot tub) conveniently located, easy access to the highways and restaurants that are actually within walking distance. We were busy during the day, so we needed a quiet and clean room to sleep at a reasonable price, and the Ponderosa perfectly met our needs. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The continental breakfast was all good. So, overall the experience was a comfortable stay and positive experience. Except the following.. One morning I walked into the breakfast area to make some waffles. Soothing music was playing on TV accompanied by beautiful natural images. In a minute or two, it was suddenly replaced with horror movie images with annoying music in the background. No idea what the reason was, but it was an odd experience and I felt it was intentional. My guess is that one of the front desk staff was a jerk and/or trying to be a jerk or griefer. Musicians are cool folks in general, but some may not. Other than that everybody else was very nice and highly recommended this hotel to anyone.

Widely recommended in our 7-day stay, since the attention of the staff was excellent and the facilities were very good, we will certainly return. The hotel is very well located for one who is going to rest and meet is perfect.

This place looks run down from the outside and to tell the truth, it is. That being said the inside of the room was very clean and everything worked like it was supposed to. We were going to be busy during the day and we just needed a quiet/clean space to sleep at an affordable price and the Ponderosa was exactly that. Clean, quiet, no frills, and affordable. I would stay here again.
