CELILO INN

Nice place for the price. Clean comfy beds. Breakfast had cold n hot. They have pizzas on food board and quite a choice of beverages non alcoholic n alcoholic. Not walking distance to anything. Gorgeous view of dam.

The room was dirty on the first night, and by the fourth night it was filthier. My requests to front desk people--made every morning,-- to get housekeeping to do a decent job, were ignored. There was a layer of dust on everything, dirt on the floor, no refills of coffee machine supplies or tissues, and I had to go to the front desk to get more toilet paper. There are cobwebs on the ceilings. When I asked the desk person in my last evening if I could check-out at 11:30 instead of 11, since I had a meeting in The Dalles that I needed to return from to get out of the room, she said she could not say yes or no, and I had to ask the morning desk clerk. The room was so small that there was no chair and desk to write at. By the way, I initially sent this review directly to the motel via their email address on their website, and got no reply. Only after a while passed, I put it on here. Breakfast was very good.

This motel was a surprising delight. We sat on their lovely patio last night, listening to live music, and enjoying a drink. Room was clean,, staff was very friendly, and we will stay here again.
