Spent one night her at the end of August 2026. Arrival was fairly easy with reserved on-street loading space right outside the front door on 12th St. Parking is available in a lot just south of the hotel at the corner of 12th and Duane. The Hotel Elliott has plenty of character, and this is one of the reasons to choose it. Our corner room (403, I believe) was not overlarge, but it was comfortable, with opening windows overlooking the town and the water. Bed was very comfortable. Bath amenities were high quality and shower water pressure was pretty good. Breakfast was included and was very good, offering a range of quality continental-style options. They also have a rooftop deck where you can relax and enjoy the sunset. Staff were always friendly and helpful, and downtown Astoria is great for wandering around. If we ever get back, we'll definitely stay here again.

We have stayed at the Hotel Elliot many times but it has lost the charm and quality it once had. The staff is poorly trained in hospitality. They could not provide any guidance for parking or issues with our room, and really didn’t care. We stayed in the "Executive Suite 503 expecting a quiet room with no one above us. However we quickly discovered the building's HC unit located on the roof directly above our room made a vibration and noise that was obnoxious. The room was nice and the view was good but even ear plugs would not mask the vibration and noise. I wish we had been told that your most expensive rooms came with this awful issue. I got four hours of sleep because of it. Not what I paid for. The breakfast offerings added to the dismal experience with a pathetic excuse food. For a $467 night I felt cheated. At checkout I got a text from a virtual assistant about my stay. I expressed my disappointment with our room and expected the hotel management to follow up. Nothing from a live person. A virtual assistant is not customer service. It is an insult and proof that the hotel does not care about hospitality. There are many other lodging options in Astoria so I suggest you avoid Hotel Elliot if you want to get a good nights sleep and a decent breakfast.
