Sleep Inn And Suites Bensalem

The place needs a major facelift. The lobby's air conditioning was broken, the ice machine was broken. My room had a comfortable bed, clean sheets, clean towel and a clean bathroom. It needed a be painted, the carpet had holes in it, the curtains were dirty and ripped and the bathroom was worn out. The sink looked like it was going to fall apart any minute. My room fridge froze the salad that I put in there, but at least it worked. The staff was super nice and efficient, which made being there bearable. Breakfast was good and the area was clean and well tended to. The owner really needs to spend a few bucks and put a little pride in the place.

We have stayed there before but this visit was less impressive. The price was decent. The best was Helen at the front desk who was personable. The toilet did not flush right, bathroom fan not working, and kind of iffy on cleanliness. The water pressure was just OK. The towels were nice. The worst was breakfast. Just waffles, cereal, breads, juice and coffee. No eggs or biscuits/gravy. There was no meat which was OK. This was the first Choice Hotels location where there was no eggs. Location was good and was decorated for Christmas.

The hotel was an affordable surprise. Came in town for Parx Casino and decided to stay over. Yes, the main floor carpets are nice but I think they might be in the process of changing all the other carpets on the floors above because they were filthy . I must say I was scared until I got to my room. The bed was amazing and very very comfy...I slept like a baby. The water pressure was great in shower decent cable TV and for !!& on a Friday night....it was a steal. I had a clean room so I think they made alot of changes since last year. I would crash here again.
