SLEEP INN & SUITES CHAMBERSBURG

First visit this week went effortlessly. I arrived at 1:30, my room was ready. I checked in. Slept and on my way to family for Thanksgiving. Today, on return trip, much different scenario with far less pleasant front desk experience and was told she wanted 20 for early check in (a fee never mentioned nor charged on Monday). Absolutely inconsistent front desk. And $20 to check in early at a motel off the highway is absolutely nonsense. You are not a resort.

I asked for a 1st floor room, the (unpleasant) woman checking us in replied "I save the 1st Floor rooms for Handicap people" I informed her that "I AM Handicapped, states that on my license. (She had just checked my ID) Our room: The lamp on the Bureau was missing both bulbs, we didn't feel we needed the extra light so I opted to wait until checkout to tell the desk person. There was a good sized (dried) White material on one of the headboards. I washed it off with a soapy wet facecloth and we went with it just being dried furniture polish that was missed. The top cover on the other bed has Multiple (cigarette?) holes in it near the head area. The bathroom tub area (see pictures) shows Poor quality maintenance. At checkout, I reported all this and the 2 people behind the desk didn't seem to be very concerned, just giggled at the light bulb info and said that the hotel was Pet and Handicap Friendly....

This property exceeded expectations. On a side note take a 5 minute drive to downtown Chambersburg to experience small town America. The Wi-Fi at this property worked very well. The free breakfast exceeded expectations for this price point. Room 135 on Thursday 6-12-25 was CLEANED VERY WELL before my stay. The property has a pool and guest laundry.
