Wonderful and historic lodging experience. However, we left a bit frustrated with our experience. On arrival our room door had been left open. The cooling system was set during the day to a very cold temperature. The door lock, code system to lock the entry door was not working and had to many instructions that did not seem to solve our problem to lock and unlock our room. No one on site at arrival to help us resolve our room issue, explain detail or welcome us. Also, we looked forward to published arrival reception invite. No one on site to host this event and told it was canceled. Host seem to respond to text message and was responsive.

This was a perfect location for a girls' trip to the Gettysburg area. The room was clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will absolutely stay here again. Thank you for a great stay!

Although this Inn has had great reviews in the past, I believe they have slipped down a notch or two. There is no host/hostess available upon arriving (or anytime throughout your stay). Codes to unlock front door didn't work. Remote in each room for heat/air: way too fancy for the average person to know how to use them. Same goes for the TV remote, both in our bedroom and in the living room on 1st floor. Breakfast, $18 per head, was totally disappointing. Greek yogurt with additives, curry potatoes (tiny white potatoes mixed with shredded sweet potatoes), spinach & ham quiche (very chewy), and a shoefly cake for dessert. That was okay. Coffee was fair. Would we go back again? No. It's definitely not a place for seniors to stay: too many stairs, both inside the Inn and outside to the parking area.
