HW SUITES UNIV CITY PHILADELPHIA

This is only the second time I've felt compelled to post a negative review. I've spent many successful nights over the years in Hilton properties as a Hilton Honors member. I stayed here for 4 consecutive nights. This hotel is comfortable and very well-located, but if you decide to stay here keep in mind two things. First, if you have a chronic issue that needs attention, know that the front desk staff does not communicate with each other when shifts end. I had a malfunctioning A/C (during temps in the 90s and high humidity) that took over 36 hours and at least 5 seperate communications to resolve. Second, the public area carpets and fabric furniture were noticably stained, which gave me an impression of subpar maintenance.

Do not stay here. The hotel is way over priced. It's old and gross and we will never stay there again. They typically have a CHOP rate nope instead the charged us $2,300 for 3 nights. At least we could have had water pressure and a clean room. Hope the next family coming in for medical procedures for their kid gets treated better.

The room I received was very rough. There were numerous larger holes on the walls in various locations where items used to hang. The couch looked very deflated. Everything looked aged and banged up. The bathroom looked old and stained in numerous corners. Valet pick up took 25 minutes once I arrived downstairs to get in the car. The gal at the front desk and the associate at the valet post were friendly and did a good job.
