COMFORT INN PITTSTON

I admit I was a litte concerned based on several of the reviews however we did not experience any issues. A few minor things- no recognition of status until I commented, elevator certification expired, coffee maker offered but the young lady at reception did not have the key for the cabinet where the coffee makers were stored. When we arrived there was a notice posted about water pressure and hot water which would not be repaired until Monday. Both water pressure and hot water were not an issue during our stay. Room was clean, breakfast area was clean. No complaints about the accommodations. Location is very good. Easy access off I81. Located in Walmart parking lot eith several fast food eateries within walking distance. All in all a good choice for s one night stay.

Keep driving! Pass on Pittston! Bad first impression started in the unkept parking lot. What a mistake to pass up Wilkes-Barre. Carpets are stained and dirty. Water leak visible on wall above room window. There is also a hole in the drywall. Just needed a quick overnight stay — so uncomfortable. Mistake. Traffic noise. I should have thoroughly read reviews.

I’m pretty sure I left a review already but I don’t know why it was gone… anyways, it was a horrible experience. We got two rooms, one of them the sheets were absolutely dirty with hair and stains everywhere. When we asked them for a new sheet, even the new sheets were dirty and covered in hair. The room that I stayed, there were cockroaches on my bed when I woke up! It was DISGUSTING!
