We loved our short stay here. Great location and a really pretty house with a number of rooms. Nice to have a self service breakfast of coffee, pastries, fruit and yogurt. Our room was traditionally furnished/ a refreshing change from a chain hotel room with no character

We booked 6 rooms at the Marshall Slocum for a family reunion, and we absolutely loved our stay! The entire inn is immaculately clean, and the rooms are very comfortable and quiet. There was no noise at night - complete silence. White noise machines in every hallway help to maintain the peace and quiet. Breakfast is delicious, and our family group of 12 enjoyed sitting around the large dining room table or outside either on the shady deck or front porch to enjoy it. It is an easy 10 minute walk from the inn into the heart of Newport and the waterfront. Mark, the innkeeper, gave us great advice on all things Newport. He and his staff are friendly and available. It was a memorable three days in Newport, and we all plan to return to the Marshall Slocum Inn for another stay in the future. Thank you, Mark et al.!
