As of this year, 2026, my sister and I have been coming to Swamp Fox/Compass Cove for 55 years. During this time, we have experienced many different resort managers, but the current one, Benjamin Greene, is the best. He is very personable and responsive. We only come here once a year for one week, but when he sees us, he calls us by name and welcomes us back. If we ever had a maintenance issue that he became aware of, it was corrected by the next day. We really like Benjamin Greene because he is truly interested in the welfare of his customers. Our experience dictates that it is hard to find a good manager like Mr. Greene. The staff from the breakfast room to housekeeping to the pool and others are efficient, courteous, and friendly. This reflects on the resort manager.

Everything was really good although the bed near tha balcony was squeaky lol every time I turn over! Okay I might be a little over weight 180! The other thing housekeeping knock on the door at 10:40 and I said I’ll be out by checkout time, then at 10:48 housekeeping knocked again I was a little salty and I told you I’ll be out by 11:00! Then he said oh no problem just checking . Like why when I said I will be out at eleven!

D.U.M.P. -- plan and simple Run down would be a kind description Two day stay in which they charge a 15.95 "cleaning fee" for both days and literally did not set foot in the room from check in to check out. There are plenty of other places to stay please do yourself a favor and find one
