FAIRFIELD INN & SUITES CHARLES

Pros: -allowed early check-in :) -good location -good breakfast Cons: -carpet between the bed and AC was wet, and stayed wet despite them sucking it up. (Had to put shoes on just to get to bed.) -cockroach found in bathroom (alive and well) -pool inaccessible due to "an issue" -often no one at desk, had to find staff for assistance -the staffs children were hanging out in the lobby, playing on the lobby computer and running around with only socks, no shoes. Bottom line... I would NEVER stay there again.

The room smelled terrible and the shower had peeling paint. The pull out couch and the two queen beds barely fit in the room. The couch had crumbs on it. I was extremely disappointed, as this is not up to normal Marriott standards.

We stayed at the Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Charleston North/Ashley Phosphate from November 20–23. Overall, our room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast each morning was excellent with plenty of choices. However, we did feel uneasy at times due to several sketchy individuals lingering around the entrance and lobby areas. These people were clearly not hotel guests, and their presence made coming and going a bit uncomfortable. While this didn’t ruin our stay, it did impact how safe and secure we felt on the property. With some increased attention to guest security and monitoring who is spending time in public areas, this hotel could offer a much better overall experience. The overall scene gives a quiet but slightly uneasy atmosphere because the person seems to be lingering rather than actively engaging with hotel services. Photo 2 – Exterior of Fairfield by Marriott The second image shows the front exterior of the Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Charleston North/Ashley Phosphate. The building is a mid-size, multi-story hotel with blue and gray sections and palm trees lining the front. Several cars are parked in the lot, but the ground appears somewhat messy, with scattered litter visible. The sky is overcast, giving the photo a muted, dreary feel.
