Ocean Club, A Festiva Resort

The location is nice. Close to stores and pier. Ample parking. It was quiet even though they are renovating. Part of the building is done and looks nice. Our room was spacious and had a king size bed even though it was listed online as a queen. It's an older place and Our room could have used fresh paint. A special bonus was the resort being dog friendly and our dogs liked it there. Staff were mostly very friendly and helpful except for one housekeeper who screamed every time she saw our dogs. Twice we were locked out of the room and they graciously gave us new keys.

Ocean Club resort was a breath of fresh air especially compared to the hotels that I had stayed in the previous few days on my way to Ocean Club. I read some of the other reviews and I can't believe you were in the same hotel. The room was so beautiful, I cried when I walked in. The view of the ocean from the room was spectacular and we were only on the second floor. My friend took the room with the bed and I slept on the couch. I didn't hear anyone above us at all. The place was spotless. Both my friend and I are handicapped. We didn't request a handicap room, HOWEVER, Ocean Beach brought a shower bench and handicap bars for the shower with no extra expense or problems. (every other hotel I stayed in on this trip didn't have bars or didn't care). This was such a relief because the shower would be safe. The toilet seat was loose, probably because I am a big girl and that always happens. I called the front desk and within 15 minutes, there was someone there to fix it. Our only difficulty, as disabled people was getting our wagon from the pool deck, up the stair and over to the ocean and back. It would have been nice if it was a ramp. I didn't see any ramps in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would definitely vacation there again. The employees were friendly and helpful. The location was easy to get to. The ocean was beautiful. I could have done without the humidity on the day we left, but that isn't the hotels fault. I thank them for 2 very nice days out of the 10 days I was traveling.

We stayed August 8-11 We were supposed to receive a refund..have not. It is now August 29th and no refund in sight. The room was disgusting when we arrived. Moldy air vents, nasty ac unit, windows were disgusting. Nasty dishes that were not cleaned, broken toilets, disgusting walls, disgusting floors, pull out bed was covered in stains, we watched a staff member dump trash all over the walkway on the 3rd floor and just walk away. Tvs were disgusting, wifi barely worked in the room. Dishwasher was broken, ceiling tile in the bathroom kept falling.
