Verandas at 501 S. Ocean Blvd, North Myrtle Beach — Extremely Disappointing Experience Our experience with Elliott Rentals was extremely disappointing from start to finish. We arrived after an 11-hour drive with my 89-year-old mother, who was looking forward to resting, only to find that we did not have linens. After hours of phone calls and follow-up, linens for our five guests were finally delivered at 10:43 PM. This was completely unacceptable, especially given my mother’s age and the long day of travel. We also experienced a leaking toilet that was reported immediately, but it took two days before anyone came to address the issue. The biggest issue, however, was the ongoing construction noise directly below the apartment. Monday through Friday, from approximately 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, we endured constant jackhammering, drilling, and extremely loud construction for the entire week. We contacted Elliott Rentals daily and even walked to their office, where the front desk employee acknowledged that the noise could be heard from there. We came to North Myrtle Beach for a peaceful vacation, and instead experienced nearly 50 hours of disruptive, unbearable noise. Ear protection was honestly needed. I work as a nurse, and I understand how important rest and quiet are — everyone deserves the opportunity to relax on vacation. We documented the noise with videos and sent them to the owner daily. The response was simply “sorry,” but no meaningful solution was provided. After three days of dealing with the construction, we were offered a different apartment on Wednesday. By that point, we had already unpacked, stocked the refrigerator and freezer with food, and settled in with five people, including my 89-year-old mother who does not move easily. Moving at that stage was not a realistic option. This unit should never have been rented without advance notice about the construction. A resident of the building told us when we were leaving on Saturday, “I hope you complain about this — this has been going on since April.” He also shared that when he previously rented out his own unit, he stopped using Elliott Rentals because of his dissatisfaction with the company. He stated that the construction was expected to continue for at least another three weeks. I contacted the owner and suggested that the unit should not be rented until the construction was complete. I was told that Elliott Rentals would notify future guests about the construction — however, we were never warned. Unfortunately, this turned what should have been our one relaxing vacation week of the year into an extremely stressful and disappointing experience. Guests deserve to know what they are walking into before booking this property. This week we received a small refund check from Elliott-no apology note just a check in an envelope-doesn't take away this horrible experience and still out 3/4 of the money, but most of all a horrible family vacation that could have been fixed prior to coming to beach.

Condo 1107 is horrible, walls 3 different colors the couch and loveseat are broken you go to the floor when you set down. The unit smells like mold. The showers back up when in use. The sink is disgusting. All the finish is came off. It looks to be 30 years old. The drapes are fallen off the sliding glass doors. Flooring incoming up in several places trip hazard. I bedroom has no electrical working. I could go on and on. I wish I could attach pictures.

Stayed with family in 2 different units. Both units 601 and 301 were in very bad shape. Both units had several broken or not functioning appliances. Stove was not heating properly. Both old and need replaced. Unit 301 was much worse. Unit was paint peeling and mold everywhere. There is no garbage systems on any floor. You had to walk trash through building on the elevators to throw away on ground floor. This practice made elevators very dirty with. Several days there was broken glass and splashes of spoil milk and grease. Very sad. Our family paid combine 7000 to elliott for these rentals - very sad
