Horrible does not even begin to describe this place. Garbage everywhere. Trash cans fill up and overflow before they are emptied. Trash strewn throughout the property. No effort observed to remove any of it. Alive and dead bugs in the room, hornets and roaches. Water coming up through the floor. Stairs leading to the rooms are not level and are a lawsuit waiting to happen. Housekeeping staff seems to want to do the least amount of work. Asked for new towels, they brought them and left the old ones. Asked for a change of sheets because I had stains on mine, brought new sheets, left the old ones. Internet is garbage. Constant disconnects and periodically have to resign in to their confirmation page. Full bars while standing outside the room, not so much while in the room. Random fire alarm goes off in the middle of the night. Only lasts a few seconds but is loud enough to wake you up and keep you awake for the next few hours. Horrible hotel bar that has a $10 cover charge so you and four other people can drink together. Restaurant offers complimentary breakfast. When they tell you what it actually is, you will walk to Waffle House next door.
If your company books you a room here, they may be trying to get you to quit. I write this fully knowing Quality Inn will take zero action on any of these things. This is written more as a warning to others.

Although my wife and I were thoroughly aggravated by our experience, I am making an effort to be fair. We booked for three nights and upon arriving discovered that the hotel was undergoing renovations. I thought it was closed at first but entered the lobby. A young lady affirmed the hotel was open. We asked to see a few rooms first. The young lady was responsive. The rooms seemed clean, and everything was satisfactory at that point. The pricing was very reasonable ($109/night I think). We decided to stay despite the exterior appearance. After leaving and checking in with a closer-to-Shaw AFB hotel which had been booked, we discovered there'd been cancellations and a room was available. We made a telephone cancellation request. As a point of information, we'd also included some sort of insurance as part of the bill, allegedly guaranteeing we'd be refunded in case of booking cancellation. We got a message that said the room had been cancelled. Then another message which, in essence, said there'd be no refund. We appealed and got yet another message from the appeal folks saying we'd still be paying for rooms we'd never occupied. Why? Apparently the only way to get a refund was if the request was based on some emergency certified (somehow) by the medical folks. I realize that shortsightedness was on us. My beefs: didn't know the hotel was under renovation so no gym, parking lot looked trashed and that effect gave me some concerns, and there was no negotiation regarding the cancellation. I would have been okay with a one-day charge. As it turned out we had to cut our trip short three days and the hotel we had occupied didn't charge us an extra dime for moving out. My rating on a five-point scale would be a 2.

The hotel is old, and sits next to a derelict restaurant with an old trailer in it . Questionable people there, who were noisy and smoking weed from 11 pm to after midnight. The parking lot was full of potholes, which should have been a good indication about the hotel itself. There were piles of gravel that looked like someone was filling the holes but hadn’t finished the work. We were traveling with family. The rooms weren’t ready until 3 pm so we waited in the lobby which appeared nice We then asked to see the rooms before we checked in. The desk clerks were very accommodating and let us do that. The room looked refurbished so we decided to check in.
We should have followed our initial gut feeling. Although the rooms look like they have been refurbished at some point, on closer examination some of the negative reviews we had read proved true. There were tiny insects in the bathtub, which I washed down the drain but then more appeared later. Then a cockroach appeared in the bathroom. It’s an old hotel, so I guess we should have expected as much. The bathroom wasn’t bad, as there were grab bars in the shower/bathtub, which we like for safety. BUT the toilet was the old-fashioned, tiny round one that is low to the ground and difficult to get up from. And it was loose from the wall and moved every time we used it. My handyman husband informed the desk clerk upon check-out, saying that it should be fixed or replaced immediately, as they would have a flooded bathroom if the wax ring under the toilet bowl broke.
Breakfast is complimentary but is not a self-serve buffet. It is run by an outside organization and you are seated and served by a waitress. The food was good, if you don’t mind ordering and waiting for some time. Breakfast took a lot longer than we would normally take.
Read the other reviews about this hotel. They are correct. I would not stay here again.
