Rude desk clerk and manager. Avoid this backwoods mess and book elsewhere.
These unprofessionals would not honor a booked reservation and turned me away after I provided proof of a paid reservation.

Road trip, stop #3
The location of this hotel in Cookeville, TN is convenient. The room rate was good and parking easily available for a regular vehicle. If you have a large rig or are towing something, the driveway is very steep and slick when cold.
The room we had was very large with a sofa area. The rooms need some updating in the bathroom and it's very dark inside the room but overall it was fine.
The breakfast area is ok, the tables/chairs and the high table/chairs need some repairs. The chairs sit very low so if you are short you aren't over your food - you are below it. Normally breakfast is until 9;30/10. We weren't aware breakfast ended at 9 as the breakfast employee literally reached over us to take out all the bread, muffins and bagels to put them back in a bag. She never said excuse me, just pushed her way in. We both felt we were racing with her to get food...including the fruit.
My husband and I have stayed in many, many hotels over the years and I can honestly say we have never had that experience before. The employee clearly was upset we were trying to get some food before she took it all away. The coffee machine was a very new one that you chose what type you wanted before it dispensed it...unfortunately it was terrible :(
Breakfast isn't a requirement for us but made our stay less than great as we were there for a few days. The night front desk clerk was always on her cell phone and never looked up when we entered or left the hotel. Not responsive at all.
Would rate a 6/10 for obvious reasons.

Dirty and door wouldn't lock!
Those are my 2 biggest concerns with this hotel. Check in time is 3, we called to see for an earlier check in and they said they were swamped so thats understandable. Came at 3 and Noone is here. Place is empty. Lobby is filled with crumbs and food all over the floor. Left for the day lobby looked the same at 10 pm.
Hotel room has hairs, the "new" roll of t.p has brown spots on it. We exchanged it for a newer roll. Tub doesn't drain well with shower. Floors make your socks black! Nothings been cleaned well.
We notice the safety latch on inside door is loose and has been replaced but not well. No strike plate on door jamb!
Here's the catch, our door opened from the outside with out a key. So if you didn't check like we did either your items could be stolen or someone could come in at night. Told manager and showed them door not locking. They could care less. Have never been to a worse place. Definitely not a family hotel. We stayed 1 night only.
