This Motel is a great place to stay while visiting. The Motel is clean and the office staff are friendly. The Motel is in walking distance from the Gatlinburg Parkway. We waw a bear here this trip and the overall experience was great!

Bear Paw Lodge Cabin in Gatlinburg While the cabin is beautiful with stunning views, our stay from 12/8/2024 to 12/12/2024 was disappointing due to several issues that reflected poor maintenance and care. The property manager offered excuses and showed little concern for our experience. Major Issues: Hot Tub: It was cold upon arrival and unusable until the following day. Cleanliness: The air return vent by the door was caked with dust, and the floors were dirty with dust balls and rug fibers. Rugs were unvacuumed, with crumbs and tripping hazards. Kitchen: The oven didn’t work, and while a replacement was delivered late into our stay, it was no longer useful. Mouse droppings were on pan lids, and a mouse chewed through our $25 bag of pistachios and hot chocolate packets. Leftover food from previous guests (half-eaten doughnuts and opened cookie bags) was found in closets and the kitchen. Other Issues: Cigarette butt containers on the deck were overflowing, marshmallow skewers were dirty, and leaves were swept under furniture. Damaged Amenities: Air hockey table didn’t work properly, foosball table was stiff, and most pool cues were unusable. The whirlpool tub in the master bedroom shot out moldy sediment, then wouldn’t turn off until unplugged—a safety hazard due to an open junction box. Additional Concerns: Though these didn’t directly affect our stay, they show neglect: loose stairs, burnt-out lightbulbs, cobwebs in high areas, broken glass by the trash cans, and unstable deck railings. Overall, while the cabin has potential, the lack of maintenance and disregard for guest concerns made our stay disappointing. I cannot recommend it.

Room 114, was filthy and smelled like dogs had been in there for months. The only light left on for us was the 1.5 inch gap on the bottom of the door letting cold air, sunlight, and rodents in. $157 for one night in a place where we felt like we needed to be vaccinated. No lie, we never walked on the floor without shoes and thank God we brought our own sheets and pillows.. NEGATIVE 1 star!
